Post workout Snack Help (besides smoothies)

Hi all,
Looking for a little advice on what to eat after I workout. I am planning to workout between 8-9 PM at night so ideally something to help me recover from the workout, and make me full so I don't snack when I am done would be ideal.
I believe that smooties will be the number 1 response but was hoping for something other than that. Before I was having some almonds along with Soy chocolate milk. I found myself still hungry and would grab some bad snack foods after. I also tried trail mix but found I ate way to much.
I am not opposed to having something with protein powder but wasn't sure what would be a good mix and if there were other suggestions for easy quick foods that can be consumed that late at night.
Thanks!

Lately I have a Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt in any flavor. It's only 80 calories, has 12 grams of protein, and coats the stomach. If I need to chew, I follow with a Red & Delicious apple @ 52 calories.0

Thanks all, will add both to my repertoire . I was also wondering about chocolate almond milk with protein powder. I assume this would be decent tasting and provide a bit of a "fuller" stomach?0

I don't like to eat after a late workout, but need the protein. I have silent reflux so peanut butter is out for now. I usually have a Simply Bar coconut/raspberry.0

Lucky Charms and whole milk.0

low fat cottage cheese with some herbs or couple of grapes work for me0

I'd just do some tasty protein mixed in water (I always drink my Whey mixed in water - the key is to have good tasting protein and not too much water) with maybe a string cheese on the side (not light - just the regular stuff to get a little bit of fat in).
Otherwise I'm a huge fan of vanilla greek yogurt with some PB2 and mini chocolate chips mixed in - tastes like cookie dough and you get the filling protein of the yogurt.0 -
My husband drinks Muscle Pharm Combat protein powder mixed with water or skim milk. I drink high protein Ensure. (I have a lot of food allergies and it's a safe food substitute for me.)0

I love cereal. Kashi go lean + berries + skim milk = yummy late nite/post workout snack with both carbs and protein. When I was playing soccer at night, this was almost always my go-to when I got home.
Also good - greek yogurt, cottage cheese and berries, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, peanut butter and banana wrap (yum!!!), whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter......peanut butter on a spoon :bigsmile:0 -
I usually go with a non fat plain Greek yogurt and mix in some PB2, almonds and blueberries. If I'm still hungry I'll have a small bowl of air popped popcorn and sometimes some baby carrots & cherry tomatoes. Sometimes I'll roll up some turkey and a string cheese. I love cottage cheese with PB2 (same as yogurt above) or some truvia mixed in for the sweetness along with some apple slices or chunks of pineapple or water melon. I never do drinks after a work out because I need real food after... Hope this helps.0

Honestly, that late at night, I would just go to bed. Save the calories for a hearty breakfast.
If I have to eat something because I'm netting below 1,200 for the day, I go for ice cream.0 -
Beef Jerky is my secret weapon. Protein carbs and fat in one delicious little package.
Milk also works really well.0 -
I do a handful of almonds, maybe some peanut butter with apple slices. I really like to take a rice cake, spread the whipped chocolate peanut butter from Jif on it, and add some raisins!0
