For those of you who lift weights seriously, do you have any opinions on this?

don't use it. They took it out of a lot of stuff. Use to give me gitters really bad. Though that is what it is used for. Makes you more explosive. Apparently it gave some people heart attacks. Or was that ephedra?0

I think you're thinking of creatine (mono) for making you more explosive since creatine is used in ATP synthesis. Ephedra is a stimulant which was banned because people misused it. Ephedrine is the currently legal "replacement" for ephedra.
Is it worth taking? It really depends on your goals. Bodybuilders use it for contest prep because it is incredibly difficult to shed fat when you're already at < 10% bodyfat. Getting from 8% to 4-5% is nearly impossible without supplementation because your body will fight you every step of the way because it is neither natural nor healthy to be at that low a bodyfat percentage. If you aren't taking it for a competition I can't see any good reason to resort to either ephedra or ephedrine or any thermogenic -- with the exception of caffeine.0 -

I have never used any products containing ephedrine personally...It has been shown to have some thermogenic and lipolytic effects..In particular when combined with caffeine..In limited study it is shown that ephedrine and caffeine are synergistic. Both in regards to its thermogenic effects and exercise performance..As a stand alone it has not been shown to increase physical work capacity and its effects on thermogenesis and lipolysis are questionable..Also there has been adverse health incidents associated with ma huang..Considering that there is not realy compelling evidence to support its use as an ergogenic aid I personally have never determined it a supplement worth buying.0 -
I have used an EC stack to help with my weight loss and weight training with very good results. I recommend it, but it is something that you need to research and understand before taking. Also, you have to start off slow because it will make you jittery. Some people use an ECA (ephedrine, caffeine, aspirin combo) but I worry about thinning my blood too much. I have added aspirin on occasion, but not 3 times a day as recommended.
EC stacks work simply because they not only decrease your appetite, but creates thermogenesis - burning fat and muscle sparing due to beta receptor stimulation. This causes your body to burn more calories, even just standing or sitting around.
ECA will raise your blood pressure, so if you have issues with your heart, then talk to your doctor.

All the information needed about the EC stack. I'd highly recomend it, just doing a cut now after a bulk.
They took it off the markey as people where abusing it.
People say Ephedra is the dodgy version are wrong. Don't bother with Ephedra, get Ephadrine. It's the stuff that works.
Send me a message on here if you want to know any more...0 -
I used to take ephedrine just for losing weight in general not for working out with. Lost aload of weight but only because everytime I started feeling hungry I would take one of them instead so I was barely eating-not good but I was young and stupid. They made me feel rubbish though-headaches, jitters, bad moods, dry mouth etc. Really not good for your health!0
