Unfortunately you cannot spot reduce. Aim to lose fat all over and sooner or later it will go from your thighs and bum too. The best way to lose fat is by eating at a calorie deficit.
If you wish, add cardio exercise to help create a calorie deficit.
Add resistance training to preserve muscle mass and improve body composition.0 -
Power walking worked wonders for me!.
I go out for around an hour every morning, and work up quite a pace! (I use Map My Fitness to monitor my speed, and hit around 5-5.5mph).
I've had reductions on my thighs, - not totally, Karen Janine is right, you can't spot reduce but I feel a lot more toned.
Good luck!0 -

In addition to the comments above ... when adding in strength training consider straight leg deadlifts, sumo squats and sumo deadlifts.0

I was losing weight and started to do squats with weights. I (personally, psychologically, not necessarily factually) thought that my bum and thighs felt firmer. I stopped doing squats, continued losing weight, and my thighs and bum are smaller, but I don't feel as "firm." Again, this is probably psychological. I am losing weight by focusing on my diet, so I can't fully attribute measurement changes to squats. I've started squats again.0
