At it Again

Hi,

Two years ago, I loss 25 pounds, with another 25 pounds to go to reach my goal weight. I was so proud of myself, but now I have packed it back all on and plus more.

After the weight loss I was wearing size 16, and now I'm a size 20!. Before the weight loss I was an 18. Nothing in my wardrobe fits anymore and I can no longer shop at my favourite stores. I feel awful, and I'm so very disappointed in myself...I had given up.

Today, I decided to do once again take control and do something about my weight, and I stumbled on this site. I'm feeling very motivated, and looking forward to all your support.

First of all, good luck and we're glad to have you.

    2ndly, you need a picture.

Lastly and importantly, think of this as a lifestyle change; not a season of depriving yourself. You need to cut out something and add exercise to the quotient. Look around the boards and see what works for you.

Thanks MW. I definitely do not see it as a season to deprive myself - I ate whatever I wanted just did portion control and included exercise. It's just that there were a series of events that threw me off course. I maintained my gym membership for the last two years, although I wasn't going... because I knew that one day I'll be back on track.
  • Welcome to MFP!

This is my 2nd time coming back to this site, and I have to say that it has really helped me in the past. The people I've met here are motivating and on the same journey, and that support system makes a world of difference!

Congrats on taking back control and good luck on your journey!! :)
(sent you a friend request btw)! ♥
  • LadyMeg, don't give up. You can do it again.

I do want to give you a pointer because I experienced the same thing. Did you go back to your original eating habits after you lost the 25 pounds? Did you stop working out completely?

The thing about "diets" is they are temporarily. You need to make a lifestyle change. Until I did that, I was never keeping it off. It's a tough, tough journey, but as long as you have people to keep you motivated, you can do it.

Just so, every NEW day gets easier than the last.
