Knee Pain Without Injury

Hi all! So I guess I am turning to this community board to maybe hopefully get some advice from you all.
I am been dealing with severe knee pain without injury for a couple weeks now. I have always worked out, but recently got back into running and I admit I did push it a little bit. I probably went further than I should have. I started to get some knee pain mostly just a strain from not having run in awhile but I iced and rested for a couple days and it was better. Last week I started getting SEVERE knee pain when I walked, stood, climbed stairs. The pain is in my inner lower knee areas. I was doing PT and Ice massages and stretching and nothing was helping. I went and saw my PCP, they have done xrays, US, blood work and can't find anything wrong with me. Nothing is swollen. I am starting to get really down, I love working out, was starting to get healthy again and lose the weight. Hiking is my favorite thing and now I can't even climb a flight of stairs. ANY advice or ideas from anyone? I go in to see the Dr again today but I have a feeling I will still be at square one.
Thanks all!

See a Chiropractor. For serious, mine really helped me with my knee pain.0

I have something similar and was diagnosed with Chondromalacia (runner's knee). It's pretty common and can be painful, but other than rest and an anti-inflammatory, there's not much to do. Hope you get a diagnosis. I also do acupuncture and it helps.0

Really stretch out your hammies and quads multiple times a day. Both muscles wrap around your knee. Hit those calves too. Also mash your entire upper and lower leg with a lacrosse ball. Take your time, and it's not meant to feel pleasant during the mashing.0
