I got teeth pulled and can't eat anything solid or crunchy for the next 3 days. I need some healthy ideas of what I can eat.

    Greek yogurt (yogurt in general)
    Smoothies/shakes
Soups and some stews and chilis
    Maybe cottage cheese? (small curd)

Why is eating mac & cheese at a caloric deficit not 'diet friendly,' exactly?

Mashed sweet potatoes, mashed (really) cooked cauliflower, smoothies galore. I'm also a big fan of the scrambled egg.

Just remember to avoid straws if you drink a smoothie (or anything else.)

I make Mac n Cheese along with other pasta and cheese dishes often. I had pasta salad last night for dinner and again for lunch today. I had all I wanted both times and was still in my calorie range. Pasta has always been on my diet plan and I have managed to lose a little weight.

Pasta and cheese is good stuff!
