I started using MyFitnessPal in January 2012, when I weighed 150 lbs and wanted a change. I lost the few extra pounds, began eating healthy, and got into the habit of working out on a daily basis. It was awesome!

I stopped counting my calories last summer, for the sake of simplicity, because I began cooking for 2. A year later, I have gained a good 25 pounds, which is the most I have ever gained in a single year. Some of it is muscle, since I have been doing heavy weight training, but not all of it, oh, no... People have told me that counting calories is a bit excessive, but hey, it worked for me; otherwise I overeat without realizing just how much I do it.

So I'm back once again, determined that I can lose all of this weight. It worked the first time, which makes me even more motivated to do it again!

Good luck to everyone on their journey :)

You can do it! I gained weight when I started cooking for two people as well. It was so much easier to just make my own serving size of healthy meals previously! I definitely see the value in counting calories, otherwise it is way too easy to overeat. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone :) good luck on your journey!
