Get back on the saddle. If you break for too long you will get out of a routine and it may be very difficult to get back into it.
Maybe find a new cardio exercise to keep your mind in it. Years ago I would run on the treadmill. I ended up dreading those workouts. I switched to other cardio machines and love them. The Arc Trainer is killer in an awesome sort of way.
Also maybe do some research on diet & nutrition plans and maybe just create your own. I use GNC total lean shakes and other products and use them as I see fit.0 -
I run and favor the elliptical on other days. Also trying the weight lifting thing but a friend tells me I am not trying hard enough or lifting heavy enough to make a difference0

I too have around 30/35lbs to lose and LOVE weight training!!! It really does help.
I originally lost 22lb by doing cardio and weight training 3x a week. A member of my gym recommended that I lift a weight that I could bearly do 8 reps of then x 3 instead of 100 of an avergae weight. It is supposed to burn more fat or something (nobody shoot me if incorrect, it's what I was told).
I keep sliding down the ladder though so put 5lb back on and feel poop but now trying to get back up there. Don't get me wrong I still have slip days where I just can't say no!!!
Feel free to add me if you wanna check out my diary to feel better lol x0 -

Gee Thanks!!! I love my hair at the moment too  Only thing I am confident in at the moment lol.
Yeah maybe stick to 10 reps o each exercise then but maybe incorporate another day too. I kind of do weights for every body part in one go where as others say to do say chest&back one day then legs&butt another etc but not sure what's the right way of goinf about it really.
I see from your stats we are quite similar. I am
Age: 28

Height: 5'6.5
Daily Calories Intake: 1580 or a bit less

Since your goal is to lose 30 lbs, set-up your MFP profile to reflect your lifestyle before any exercises. Set your weekly weight loss goal to 1 lb. per week. Enter your exercises and eat back about half of those calories.
Here are some more helpful information and links:
As a rule of thumb, the following weekly targets would give a balance between minimizing negative side effects and seeing a reasonable weekly weight loss:
More than 75 lbs: 2 lbs/week
40-75 lbs: 1.5 lbs/week
10-40 lbs: 1 lb/week
Less than 10 lbs: 0.5 lb/week
