I am on the 1,200 per day plan and work out 5 days a week and don't lose weight. Do I need to eat eggs everyday? Do I need to eat less than 1,200 calories per day? Do I work out 2 hours per day? Do I not eat any sugars? Gosh I'm full of questions but I see people doing less than me and seem to be losing weight. I will not blame it on age or that I had my gallbladder removed , that is bull there is a way and I will find out somehow. I will lose my 80 lbs my mind is set.

Welcome!
you don't need to eat Eggs every day and you do not need, and should not, cut to under 1,200 calories a day. I only looked at a few days on your logging. Are you getting enough protein? How is your water? How much are you working out and what types of things at the gym.
If you're at that calorie take and working out and have 80 pounds to lose, its not making a lot of sense that you are not losing anything. When did you start???
Lets see what we can tweak to get things moving!

Hi,
I am only 28 and I am healthy, but I have gained 30 pounds in the last 2 years and couldn't loose a pound!!!!
Until now!!!
I have removed most processed food. Hot meal are key ( it makes my stomach happy). I eat all kinds of fruit in the A.M. and switch to veggies in the P.M.
And most importantly I don't have 3 fixed meals, I just eat all day little meals and stay within my 1,300 cals.
MFP gives you a limit for sugars, but I pass it all the time. My sugar comes mostly from fruit. (In my opinion, I rather have 3 oranges than a spoon of refined sugar).
Now I feel I have so much energy. I haven't lost weight yet but I lost a dress size already.
Anyways that's my story!
Good luck on your journey!!!0 -
thanks for the post I agree with you about fruit love it.0

I looked at your diary and see as many or more days of not logging your foods, or logging for part of the day as I do for logging all day. Also, a lot of your days are well above 1200, and some are well under (if you have logged that entire day), even in the 900's (too low). Plus, are you weighing your food? You will have a lot of inaccuracies with just measurement. Are you wearing a fitbit, or are you adding your exercise to your mfp homepage? mfp exercise cals tend to be generous. I stay around 1200, and eat back some, but not many, of my exercise calories. You are doing a good job with your protein....just keep an eye on the rest of your macros. I eat what I want, within reason, but I try to make sure I am getting all my protein and nutrition, and I log everything. Read all of the articles in the getting started section, and you'll get more info on how your body reacts to diet and exercise. It is basically math. Read, read, read.... Good luck with this. You'll figure it all out, and you will lose weight if you want to0

Thanks I will begin to measure my food0

Oh, I measure my work out by the machines I use they tell me the exact calories lost as for cardio but here they add 150 calories. I know it's enormous. Weight lifting maybe it's less calories burnt not sure.0

you will usually gain before you lose especially if you do some weight lifting but make sure you get a food scale and measuring cups to make sure you do it right to get the right cals0
