NSV :)

Two summers ago, I went on vacation with a friend. I had gotten new summer clothes, because at that time, I had gained some weight and my old (much smaller) clothes didn't fit. The clothes I had gotten fit, but not right, and I was very uncomfortable the entire trip. I'm going away at the end of August for a few days and don't really feel like shelling out a ton of money for new clothes, so I figured I'd delve into my tub of smaller clothes to see what I could find. I tried on the shorts that were too snug two summers ago, and they all fit either like a glove, or a little loose. I haven't weighed myself in about a week due to TOM, but the last I did weigh in, I had dropped about 8 pounds for a previous doctor's visit about a month prior.

In the moment, it feels like all of this tracking and exercise isn't doing much, but it's times like these (even more-so than weighing in and seeing pounds lost), that make it all worth it. At least to me. There's nothing better than feeling confident and comfortable in your clothes.

I'm currently 163 pounds (the last I checked, anyway), 5'2". Started at 183. I've still got about twenty pounds to go, but I need to take the time to appreciate what I've lost, and stop thinking about where I "need" to be.

Anyway, just thought I'd share, because I'm pretty ecstatic about it.

Congratulations! The fit of your clothing is so much more important than a number on a scale!
