*sigh* Thighs

So, I have a pear shaped body. Even when I was a skinny teenager my thighs touched at the tops. They've always been thick and muscular which I don't mind so much... I mean yeah, I'd rather have nice slender legs, but I never will, so what can you do?
Thing is, I read an article (can't remember where) that fat on one's thighs is generally more "stable", in that it's harder to lose. The up side is that a pear shaped body type or even some extra weight on the thighs isn't as unhealthy as a lot of belly fat, but the down side is once it's there, it's there.
I know you can't spot tone. It's lose fat or don't. Just wondering if there were any exercises or regimens that, along with overall weight loss, can make my thighs as slim as they can be for my body type.

I think running is a good thigh exercise in general. You don't bulk up, but get a nice firming.0

If you don't like to run try step aerobics or bike riding. I also have a Biggest Loser dvd with Bob that is a great workout and on all levels0

I have those big thighs too as well as pear shape and the big behind. Working at it though is a needed cocsistency. :happy:0

these KILL me, so I know they work0 -
I tend to always have larger thighs, no matter what. However, studies have shown that if you carry more weight in your legs than your waist, you tend to have less heart problems. More weight on the waist tends to have more heart problems.0
