Day Date: Creole Restaurant and then to The Mutter Museum in Philly0

Wow, that's a loaded question IMO especially since I don't even think I have had a "best date" so far. Guess no one has impressed me that much yet lol0

I don't want to overthink this like I normally would. My best dates are these.
Best Date as a Teen:
When I was 14...going on an all day walk around the city with this boy I liked, and the music store (it was 1991), and getting Chinese food & kissing (my first "good" kiss) in the alley behind the restaurant.
Best Date as an Adult:
I'd JUST started seeing my now-husband and he asked me if I wanted to check out a couple of museums in Tulsa. It's not far from home but I hadn't been. Both museums turned out to be AMAZING (one of them, the Philbrook, is among my favorite places in the world now) with really beautiful gardens and it was just a gorgeous day. He also took me out for pizza and it's now one of my favorite pizza places, too. We had great service and a lot of fun. Then we decided to go to another town to a museum there and one thing just kept leading to another...we wound up at Will Rogers birthplace spying on peacocks and petting horses...it was a random, long, and very hot summer day. But best of all was just the time spent together, talking & bonding, it was a small turning point in our already-amazing relationship.0 -
It was our first official "date" - we got sundaes and then went to a movie theater downtown that was showing Black Frankenstein (that had 80s German porn spliced into it multiple times)
we drank & smoked at the theater
after we went to the bar and hung out with his band mates
I think we got poutine at one of the carts after the bar too0 -
I've never been on a really good date.0

I am trying to get inspired. My bf said he is taking me out next week and said we will do anything I want to do. But I don't know what I wanna do! Dress and heels are a definite option but he said to bring sneakers to change into.0

Never really been on a date or at least that's not what it was called...I have fun anywhere really. Company doesn't hurt lol0

Best date I've ever had was 22 years ago.
I'm still on it.0 -
My best first date was watching Shameless while eating Chinese food, then making out until she finally convinced me to take my pants off.0

Well we are way past that point but the pants will be coming off.0 -
I can easily describe the worst date I ever went on and it was actually with my current bf the first time we "dated".0

You guys have come a long way!! I hope the date coming up is fun...is he planning something or letting you take the lead?0 -
Night time picnic in the park during a meteor show with my ex fiancé. That was an awesome and creative date.0

Once, on a first date, a guy picked me up, opened the door for me, and took me to The Ranger's Game. I have never been to a baseball game before and his family had season passes right behind the pitcher's mound. I had a blast, even though I didn't care about Baseball. It was fun and I enjoyed seeing him so empassioned while simultaneously teaching me about the game. By the end i was cheering and screaming with the rest of them. After the game the lights went down and a firework show came on. He reached over and grabbed my hand, looking a little nervous. I smiled at him and cuddled up and watched the show. Afterwards we were having so much fun that we didn't want to go home, neither of us felt like getting drunk so we headed to the park, layed on a picnic table and watched the stars as we got to know each other. At some point I ended up falling asleep only to wake up to him holding me and cradling my head on his chest because he was worried I would that I would roll off the table but didn't want to wake me.
We stayed up talking after that until the sky started to lighten up. We jumped in his jeep and quickly drove to the lake, racing against the sun. We sat in the back and watched the sun come up, hand in hand. It was one of the best dates I have ever had.0 -

Omg... we have come so far. We are talking about moving in together now. My daughter calls him dad. We have thrown around the "m" word. But as far as this upcoming date, he said we will do whatever I want. Anything. The only thing he said was to bring a change of comfortable shoes but he will not tell me why.0 -

Sounds exciting and fun...can't wait to hear the outcome :-)0 -
I don't think I've ever really had a date that impressed me or blew my mind lol I'm racking my brain and I can't even think of a date that stands out haha. Depressing. :P0

Haha I don't ever go on dates >.< The first time I hung out with my boyfriend was a fun day though. We went to the mall and people watched, made up stories about who they were. Went to the state bark, bought a bottle of rum, went to my place and drank it while watching scary movies.0
-
Man, I didn't realize people didn't really date anymore. Sad. Glad I got a good man!0
-
Went to a horror movie I sat close to him because I was such a scary cat. He held my hand because I kept wanting to cover my eyes, whenever I get spook I'll turn my head to his side and he would laugh and kiss my cheeks. After the movies we had dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant, he was such a gentleman.0

My fiance drove from Michigan to Connecticut to meet me. I was scared out of my wits. The day after he arrived (he arrived at 1am), we went out to lunch at my favorite restaurant and then walked the mall. He went into Build a Bear with me and he stuffed and made a rabbit named Ikowe (after his World of Warcraft character -- we met on WoW). To this day, this stuffed bunny is on our bed, dirty and a little worn but it's my most treasured object.0

This thread reminds me that I've had to plan all my dates. Would be nice to be surprised as to whats going to happen that night for once.0

My favorite date was a date with my current boyfriend. We were just getting to know each other. We went to dinner, then to an outside bar at a hostel by the beach, and later to a terrible club. It wasn't anything special, but it was his company that made it so great! It was the first time I met his friends, and we just laughed and enjoyed the whole night. That's when I realized I wanted him all for me! :P0

He said it is completely up to me but I really don't know! I am still trying to figure out why I need to bring sneakers. He will not tell me why. He said "Don't you want a boyfriend who surprises you?"0

That's so cute!!0 -
It was my first date. Not even a proper one. I had been dating him for half a week before this.
We didn't even leave college campus or spend any money; but it was the best date ever. Burned into my mind.
We talked for hours in the little in campus coffee shop, smelling the delicious roasts, enjoying each others company. Then I gave him my first kiss. Right there. As if no one else existed. He made me forget them.
Then we ran across campus laughing like children, holding hands and forgetting our problems. Counting clouds as they passed by , talking about all the things we had in common, laying side by side, just feeling free and happy. I went home that day feeling very much like a school girl. Best date ever. lol0 -
My hubby took me to the World Wildlife Zoo/Aquarium. I love seeing animals, he encouraged me pick out whatever souvenir I wanted (I don't like to spend money on myself too often, I'm very financially conservative) and they had this beautiful upscale restaurant with a shark tank in the middle of the dining room. The seafood was delicious (and that's saying something for Arizona...). It was so much fun and very romantic.0

Best date was my first date with the guy I'm currently with (6+ years, woot). He took me to see Radiohead, front and center. It was a pretty phenomenal show. Caught a bite to eat afterwards, and I was so deliriously sleepy that the ketchup bottle fart-noises just set me off for an hour straight. I couldn't stop laughing. And he couldn't stop laughing at my laughing. And the rest is history I reckon :P0
