Thank you MFP and Stronglifts

I found MFP when I realized I needed more structure around what I was eating. Things are going MUCH better now, as I'm aware of the impact of my decisions, and I'm having success loosing weight and perhaps doing a little recomp as well.

It was also here that I found out about StrongLifts and it was exactly what I was looking for: a structured way to get back to lifting heavier weights again. I needed a plan that would let me progress and not let my "back in the day..." ego lead me to exhaustion or injury.

Today was my first big milestone on the program, going Squatting 5x5 for 200 lbs. Next stop, 300!

At any rate, this message is to primarily thank the site, app and most importantly the COMMUNITY for helping yet another person reach for and achieve some of their goals. You're a fun bunch! Here's to another 3 months of fun and progress!

PS. A special thanks to those on my Friends list - there's EXTRA inspiration coming from you guys.

Good job, man. I think Mehdi is kind of a douche, but Stronglifts most definitely works, as you know quite well.

I agree. I unsubscribed from an emails related to Stronglifts and did not join the community. I just use the app and lift the weights.
I put his pitches down to the fact that moderation doesn't sell much, and understand that this is a business for him.

This is a great tool for me now, and when I need a different tool, I'll put this one down to pick up a different one.

    My thoughts exactly.

I just completed week 4 of Stronglifts. I'm at 100lb squat, but it's the overhead press that's finally giving my trouble. Well, not trouble exactly, but challenging me. I certainly am seeing a difference in my body and my other workouts.

Like you, I just use the app and follow the program, not much else from him or the website.
