staying motivated vs depression

I struggle with depression on and off, have for the past several years. In November 2011 I was 18 and weighed 290 as a 5'5 female. Any time I felt down I turned to food.
Right now I am 21 and hovering around 175. I still have big problems with turning to food as comfort, especially when I am depressed or feeling insecure.
I am moving away from my number one support in two weeks (my boyfriend) and taking a labour intensive course at school in September. Im terrified of falling right off track and gaining a bunch of weight again.
I just want someone to relate to!
On the other hand- YOU CAN DO IT. I lost over 100lbs in a few years. If I can do it anyone can. TRUST ME!

I know what you meant about the ups and downs of depression, it's hard to lose weight when you're feeling low. I myself have struggled with depression off and on but look at it as thought i'm continuously moving forward. You have the tools to lift your mood on stay on the right track. I've just started an eating plan with my boyfriend who is my number 1 support in life. I don't know if I could be losing weight without him or getting through those bad days. I find that staying with an eating plan is really helping me. I'm losing weight and it doesn't take much thought processes to plan out my day or week. I find that when i'm depressed making eating choices are hard. I either don't eat at all or very little or I binge eat for comfort.
I'm not exactly sure what to say but I hope that your boyfriend stays supportive and you know that you are not alone in this. A bad few days happends at times, don't stress just get back to it when you can. Remember that regardless of the dips in mood, you are always moving forward.0
