am at 90 Kg and very scared of the process. I feel like it is insurmountable but I am trying it. Using MFP first time ever as well as JM shred .... was not able to do pushups but tried my best. Got through the rest. Calories under 1200. Someone tell me this can be done.

Don't feel the need to starve yourself. You may do ok to eat that low for a few days, even a few weeks but eventually its going to catch up with you. You'll feel lethargic, no energy and feel like giving up. This process is no good if you can't transition to a new way of living.

Instead eat a reasonable amount. From your profile, it looks like you have 60-70 pounds to lose. Reset your goals to lose 1.5 pounds per week, and eat at least 1200-1500 calories per day. Be sure to get plenty of protein and a variety of fruits/veggies and drink lots of water. Its a plan that will work out for you longer term, allowing you to stick with it.

You CAN do this - but its not going to be an overnight success. The rewards will be worthwhile though.

Try researching BMR and TDEE to set calorie intake goals. 1200 calories is most likely not enough. I started out netting 1800 calories and now I'm at 1600 still losing weight no problem.

One place tells me I need 1800 cal per day and the other tells me I need 1500. I will keep at 1200 with leeway for having 300 more in whatever small snack I feel like. I am trying to increase water.
