What's up with all the Spam this morning?

And no, I don't mean the kind you can eat. I went to the "General Diet and Weight Loss" forum and was confronted with a wall of spam. I tried to report them all, but it was too many. Hopefully they just ban this person and remove all posts.

    I suspect the mods have to delete each post as well as the account. It would be infuriating to spend so much time deleting so much garbage. It has been worse than usual overnight. Looks like another wave of it coming through now. They probably count on delayed removal time to add to the views received. Frustrating situation. I thought MFP was working on an adjustment that would reduce/prevent this.

    Its late evening here but as far as I can tell its been going on all afternoon too.

    More moderators across all the time zones would be beneficial.

    I would happily volunteer to be a spam moderator.
