I am just wondering... can you do cardio on rest days or is a rest day a exercise free day. I do weights 4 days a week and cardio 5 days .. sat and sun off.

Everyone is different. Your suppose to have a day of rest - to let your body rest and build muscle or whatever it needs to do. I get restless on my 'rest day'...But your able to do some cardio - my coach tells me to jump rope...But it's up to you. BUT, dont' let it be a day to eat 'silly'...Best wishes xo0

She's right (above) about everyone being different. I have 2 babies, and I cloth diaper them, and do EVERYTHING by hand or from scratch.... so I can only do 2 minutes of jumping jacks at a time, so I do it every day, about 3 times a day. This is not enough to wear me out. (Although the babies do!) so I don't require a day off. It totals about 70 minutes a week. Not a lot. I do weights similarly. 2 minutes when I can, inbetween babies needing me. So I don't have to take a day off. I just alternate what I do, so each muscle group can rest. Just use common sense, I'd say.0

A good walk or such probably can't hurt!0

Cardio is fine on a rest day. You are resting from lifting weights, not necessarily exercise.0
