Must I know what I weigh..?

Hey, MFP.
I've been wondering if I should really post this, but I'm curious what others have to say so I'm going to go ahead and do it.
Back in December I managed to get to my UGW of 115 pounds after a three year journey, I had started somewhere around 160/170.
It was a long, grueling journey, but I did it. And I was proud...But I still wasn't happy and I berated myself and my looks.
And then a bunch of stuff happened, life, emotions that kind of thing and I gained back a lot of the weight...I think I settled somewhere near 140 pounds.
The thing is, I haven't weighed myself in months, nor taken my measurements because both take a huge toll on my emotional and mental well-being.
I don't like the way I look 100%, but I'm content and I even think I've lost some weight because my jeans, which had become a struggle to get on, are less of a struggle to wiggle into.
So, my question is...Is it possible to live my life in a healthy way and maybe even lose weight without knowing my true weight or measurements?
Here are some possible factors that might have an effect on whether this is possible or not.
I count my calories and although I'm not as strict as I should be I also don't log my exercise.
I do have a slow metabolism, I was tested.
I exercise daily, cardio mostly but also some resistance. 40 - 60 minutes, sometimes only 30.
This is mostly just because I'm curious, I'm sure I'll get back on the scale again..I just don't think it's a good idea right now.
Thanks for any responses.

My clothes tell my story. Everyone should do what works for them.0

For me it was a huge issue .. not the scale but the measurements.
I became obsessed in getting that measurement and got to a very low body fat % number and looked like **** because of it ... and lost sight of what was really happening.
I see people having the same issue with the scale .. and having emotional issues cause it is not falling or moving or whatever.
If you do not need to ... then don't. The scale in particular is a very very poor indicator of true success anyways. Sadly MFP is based on this .. and that is really too bad.0 -
I do weigh everyday. But even if I didn't, having to punch new holes in my belt to keep my pants up would have been a clue I was losing. As long as you make healthy choices with food and exercise, stepping on a scale is not necessary.
I try to look at eating food like putting gas in my car. Food, like gas is costly. When your car is full of gas you wouldn't continue to pump, causing it to run on the ground. So when you are full, eating more is like pumping gas on the ground. It is harmful and wasteful.0 -
Thank-you all for your replies.
Generally, my clothes don't fit the way I want them too, so I do want to lose weight and get back to how I looked when I was around 125-120LBS. I think back now, and although at the time I thought I needed to lose more weight I know that that was a good look for me.
I have a tough time controlling my sweet tooth and munchies and that is ultimately my worst obstacle. But I know that with or without knowing what I weigh. So I'm working to try and tackle that, or at least fit those things into my daily intake. Because, as you said Larrodarro is it costly.

Some people say that weighing yourself is like weighing your self esteem.0
