within a 6 month period, how much weight have you lost?

Replies

  • I've lost 16 pounds.
  • I lost about 15 lbs in a 5 month period. After that though, I haven't been able to lose even 1 lb a week very easily.
  • I've lost about 35 pounds in 5 months. I have another 5-6 to go.

  • My problem is that I've hit a plateau and I don't know how to get out of it!

Try raising your calories for a couple of days and dropping them back down. That is how I got over my plateau. Don't give up because you will start losing again.

I agree....I hit a plateau for 2 or 3 months this summer (inches were still being lost tho)....and that is what I did....increased calories a little for a couple days, and didn't work out as hard for a day or two, and it started me losing again. I'm not saying this is exactly what you need to do, but the idea is that you need to CONFUSE the body a little. It gets used to the same exercise and calories day in and out which is why you are more or less maintaining.

Hit the plateau right now too. Check out my page for a link to a post I recently put up. It was good advice I found on the Jililan Michaels website. Good luck. You CAN do it!

28 lbs-- though that was really mostly in 5 months. I treated December as a "maintenance month" and stayed fairly even through the holidays, and am going back to a calorie deficit to try to lose another 5-10 pounds now that life is back to a more "normal" state.

I'm down 43 lbs in 4 months, working out 5 - 6 days a week, and eating clean (well, as much as possible).

I started p90x, and I'm on my 3rd week of round 2, also doing doubles a few times a week as well this round - p90x and on the bike 3 times a week.

    I'm down 16 lbs since I started p90x.

When I start Dec 2009 I lost 53.4 by 5/14/10. That was half of my weight that I wanted to lose.
