Hi all

Is there anybody who follows a dairy free diet for advice and support. I've had to follow this diet for a year now after suddenly developing an intolerance to all things dairy and still struggle with it. Unfortunately I'm on my own as none of my family or friends suffer with this. I've lost two stone so far but am now trying to structure my diet to reach my target weight.

Any help or advice would be appreciated :)

  • I am dairy and gluten free. However, I am also in the US so depending on the advice you are looking for I may or may not be helpful.

I don't eat dairy products either. I am from Canada and there are lotsof soy products here. I put vanilla soy milk in my cereal (Almond milk is also yummy) and there are soy cheeses out there too. I find it easier to not have any cheese replacements as it tempts me to want to have the real stuff. If you are at a meal that leaves you with little cheese alternatives you could always try taking a lactaid pill. These help me a lot. I find to make food just as yummy without dairy products I try to load in lots of spices and other flavourings. I am a huge salsa fan. I hope this helps. Let me know if you want more ideas. I would be more than willing to help and give you support as well.
