SHould I up my calories from now on?!

Hey.
I was thinking of uping my cals from 1200 to 1500. I am 5`2 and around 125-133lbs.

Basically, I have now decided I don't want to lose weight. I'm not happy the way I am, but I have more things to focus on such as uni work etc than my weight.

I'm also going to try go to the gym 3 times a week. And running every other day (but it's only 10mins for now....I'm so unfit :P)

Should I go to 1500?! Or would I be making a huge mistake?

    I would think that the exercise you do should balance out the increase in calories. Depending on how tense of a workout you are doing, i can't imagine you having any problems. If you stop the gym trips though, i would drop back down. Hope this helps!
  • I'm all for bumping up! If you're not really looking to lose weight, then why live with the 1200. At 1500, you should actually still be maintaining a deficit, but without being quite so strict and might find you lose a few pounds anyway. I find I lose better with a little more food in me though. So this might actually help. I would normally suggest slowly moving up the calories to avoid gaining a temporary pound or two as your metabolism adjusts. But it sounds like you have a lot on your plate. If you're cool with it (and it really should be only temporary) just jump em right on up.

    I think I'll bump. On days I don't go to the gym like tomorrow I'll stick with 1200.
    Days I work out will be 15001

    Does that sound safe enough?
  • You can go to "My Home" then to "Goals" then to "Change Goals" at the bottom. Scroll down and change your goal to "maintain your current weight" and it will calculate how many calories you need a day to maintain your weight.
