Friday my HRM said I burnt over 900 calories at the gym. Today I did the same thing at the gym and about the same amount of time but my HRM said I burned much less calories. Does any one have any suggestions why?

Perhaps you are like me and got your HRM flipped loose over your sports bra and it didn't connect?0 -
It is a watch HRM without a chest strap. But the intesity could have changed without me noticing it.0

I'm thinking it's more the not having a chest strap part. Those are more accurate since they continually monitor your heart rate instead of having to press a button to check it. So, when your intensity changes, the hrm with a chest strap will pick up the change in heart rate while one where you have to press a button or whatever to read will continue to stay the same.0
