Post Workout Calories

Hi everyone. I just saw a post about protein powder, and my question is somewhat similar, but I wanted to get a more specific answer. Ok so I have bought a couple of protein powders to drink post workout. I have trouble getting to my calorie goals most days and then adding workouts doesn't help, so I wanted one that would help add to my calorie goal. I have a Top Care Whey & Soy Chocolate Powder and a Muscle Milk Protein Powder that I have been using. Does anyone know if these are good brands? I know nothing about protein powders and would love some advice from those who use it regularly. I also don't want to break the bank, but am willing to pay a decent amount for good powder that tastes good and doesn't feel like I just shook a ground up piece of chalk into milk.
Advice for seasoned protein veterans would be awesome please!

The opinions on this will vary immensely
I like Trutein. Its a quality blend without weird additives and it spells out what you are getting on the label.
Other brands I've bought with no regrets: BSN, MusclePharm, Optimum Nutrition, Jym, Cellucore0 -
well you could either go with a full blown mass gainer if you having trouble reaching your cals, or just mix your protein powder with 2% or whole milk.
as for the brand you use im at a loss. i get chocolate mix every time and every brand seems to taste good (and identical to the brand i used before it) to me
i think the company Cellucor has dessert flavoured kinds and whatnot but they are more expensive0 -
I use a protein powder from my part-time (order online) and it has great solid proteins and also helps with blood sugar control. I also like to add some plain greek yogurt if you need a little bit more of a calorie boost.
I worked at GNC as a manager and I personally do not care for Muscle Milk and never sold too much of it. You can also go to TrueNutrition to custom build your protein powder or order pre-made ones0 -
I personally like egg white protein powder - I get the vanilla flavored kind and mix it with fresh fruit or yogurt. It is super yummy and I find it to be less dense.0
