Did you notice as people are posting their songs...

    Depends on what I'm doing.

For running I LOOOOVE Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. It's a long song with an unchanging beat that lets me just zone.

For something intense I like "Push It" by Salt-N-Pepa. Not really my style of listening music, but it motivates me well.

Weight Lifting I go with something easier since I'm not getting my heart rate up as high.

...double post. I should really have the option of deleting my own comments. Ignore this. Sorry.

I think the best songs combine the two (like the before mentioned "Push It") but I definately lean more on beat.

Other great songs to work out to...

Scorpions -- "Rock You Like a Hurricane"
    Pearl Jam -- "Even Flow"
    Micheal Jackson -- "Smooth Criminal"
    Boston -- "Foreplay/Long Time"
Europe -- "The Final Countdown" (very disappointing if it's not the last song)
    B 52's -- "Love Shack"
Elton John -- "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting"
Aerosmith -- "Dude Looks Like a Lady"
The Killers -- "When You Were Young"
Queen -- "Another One Bites the Dust"
Young MC -- "Bust a Move"
Kansas -- "Carry On Wayward Son"

    Same with Maniac from Flashdance!

    Scar - Def Leppard
    Barracuda - Heart
Don't laugh (ok, laugh if you want!) The Climb - Miley Cyrus. I love the lyrics to it and I can sing along to that while I'm working and I feel like it's me, talking to myself, urging me forward.
