Hello all I just started my weight loss program thur of last week and found this site on monday (thank god). anyway I have been getting a lot of help from my coach greg langley who i appreciate very much!. my question is i'm sure I used to eat a lot of calories but since i started tracking and eating a lot of fruit and veggies and putting everything in my diary i'm feeling full at only 1000 to 1200 calories. I manually entered my numbers in my diary with the suggestion of my coach and should be getting 2000 calories with 50/30/20 I believe you call them macros. I don't seem to have any problems getting carbs fat and some protein (plan on raising my protein with powder shakes) but the calories just don't seem right to me I feel like I ate a lot. If someone has time to look at my diary and see what they think that would be great. any suggestions on what i should change would also be helpful. Today is the first day with my new numbers so i know I got to work on getting protein up. Ty Joe

Lots of people will be happy to look at your diary, but you have to set it to "public" before we can.
Most of us went through a short phase when we first started tracking our calories, when we were suddenly eating lower-calorie foods and paying more attention to our hunger signals, and it seemed difficult to reach our calorie goals. That won't last long, trust me.
Use this time to establish some good habits, like weighing everything you eat, and stocking your kitchen with lots of low calorie and delicious foods. Soon enough, your body will rebel against the lower calorie consumption and cravings will hit you like a ton of bricks. Be prepared for them. Think of ways to make healthy choices easy, like pre-portioning things you think you might binge on. For example, divide chips into single servings in individual ziploc bags. Or plan and log meals in advance so you can plan how to use your calories.
In the meantime, you can reach your goals with protein shakes, nuts, avacados, butter, cheese, and nut butters.0 -
To open your diary:
Click: My home-->settings-->diary settings--> Last option, Diary sharing. Change to "public"
Heres info on setting Macros

And please for goodness sakes, don't eat 1000-1200calories. You are a full grown man and you need to eat!! You will sacrifice tons of lean body mass if you continue to do that.0 -
Ty all for the help. I will change my settings told you I was new lol.0

That is what I'm worried about I need to raise calories without raise rest. I think adding the protein shakes will fix it. My dairy is now public ty0 -
Eating that low cal for a short time isn't going to hurt you. You'll be hungrier soon. May as well enjoy it while it lasts.
If you don't hit your macros and calories dead-on each day it doesn't matter. Your body runs on longer term average levels, not a 24 hour clock like MFP.
Good luck!0
