I'm getting married in two months (eek!) and have lost about 7lbs of the 10lbs I wanted to lose. I'm hoping to lose the last 3, but I'm not stressing about it. I laid off the snacks between meals and picked up weights, which I worked into my typical cardio routine. Lifting has made a HUGE difference. I would definitely recommend it.

Wedding is in exactly 70 days. I've lost 17 pounds in my first 80 days of MFP, and I shoot to lose another 10 before the big day. It's ok, I don't lose weight for the wedding, I lose weight to become pregnant and live an healthy life with my kids, but my dress will fit better with a little less to carry on my back.

I'm not engaged YET! but he's said he's figured how to do it, but not the when as he needs to tell his parents! (He's somewhat nervous love him)

I want to lose another 40-50lbs before this time next year, and then get fit by 2015 - which is when the big day would be, if he cracks on!

Well done all you lovely ladies though!
  • Hi Brides 2 Be :)

I'm hoping to lose around 80lbs for my wedding (12.09.2015), so far I'm down 15lbs since 09.06.14. Good luck with your big day ladies.

Feel free to add me x

I was 220lbs when I got engaged. I had 18 months to slim down for my wedding and lost 86lbs!

My wedding is 3/21/2015 and I'm wanting to lose 80 lbs by then... I just really started to get on it this week and know that I can do it or get close to it... No Excuses there will be a lot of cameras there that day!! :)

My wedding is in March 2015. And I'm already panicking. I know 35 lbs is possible by then but with dress fittings? Gaaah! I'm trying to do everything I can to lose something but I'm not! I've been adjusting my diet and doing exercises but I haven't lost a pound! It's very disheartening.

Going to try to keep at it though. I want to look good for myself and my man!

I started a bit late on getting down to my wedding goal weight. My wedding is August 9th, 2014 and I have lost 27 lbs in preparation for it. I'd like to lose another 3-5 lbs before then but will be satisfied even staying where I am now. I'm 5'6" and my starting weight was 182, I'm currently at 155 on the dot and would have liked to be about 140 by the big day, but again, I didn't start this journey until February so I will take what I can get! :)

My fiance and I decided to have a longer engagement, since we got engaged right when I finished school. We're planning for the end of 2016, but I'd like to get to my goal weight by dropping 80-100 lbs by December 2015. I hope it's doable, and with the support of this super cool community, I think it will be a fun and exciting (and terribly difficult haha) challenge.
