Hello everyone, been a lurker on here for a while but decided to post up to put my plan in action!.
A month and a half ago I was 90kg, at 5'9" it wasn't a huge problem but time to do something about it.. I decided to just change the way I ate and drank slightly and see how it went (have gone on crash diets before but that worked short time only..). I never really believed alchohol could pile the pounds on but it does.
Old avarage day..
Breakfast, 2 slices of buttered toast, cup of tea milk and 2 sugars..
Morning snacks, 3 to 5 packets of Hula Hoops (6g fat per packet!).
Lunch, normally involving chips..
Tea, varied healthy meal with wife and children.
Beer, between 4 and 8 pints, possible bottle of wine in there as well..
New day,
Breakfast, cup of tea milk and two sugars (not a big breakfast eater really).
Morning snack, about 11am I'll have an apple.
Lunch, either half of last nights tea, a chicken wrap or 2 toasted ham pita breads.
Afternoon snack, apple.
Tea, same as before, maybe save half for dinner at work the next day if enough..
Beer, 2 pints maximum (find Guinness is great as it's a drink you can take time over!).
Results..
I've managed to lose 4kg in a month and a half on a "diet" that's easy to live with, no real calorie counting as such just some cutting down!, beer and hula hoops were my 2 main vices it seams.
My ideal weight should be around 76kg it seems but if I can hit 80kg and stick to it I'll be happy.
Just posting this up for people to read and think about, you don't have to go mad if you have a plan and patience you will get there in the end!.

Good for you. There's nothing wrong with continuing to eat and drink the things you like just eating and drinking less of them. I have done those very strict deprivation diets and found I could fall off them and go full blown binge and eat full meals consisting solely of Cadbury's dairy milk. This time around if I really want something I'm just planning it into my days calories and eating it.
Have to ask though, what are Hula Hoops and do they involve chocolate? I'm in Canada so not a food I have ever seen here.0 -

Hula Hoops round crisps, very tasty but unfortunately also very bad for you..0
