Struggling to take off 15 lousy pounds for YEARS - of course I know what to do, but I love food and hate to deprive myself. Creeping cholesterol and blood pressure made me wake up to the reality that if I don't get this weight off now, I'll have to go on meds to control my health, and that's something I just don't want to do.

So post-holiday food coma, I'm starting to get it back under control. I love to snack, I love to cook, and I love to have my friends and family in the kitchen with me. I don't really love to exercise. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

But I realize that if I just focus on one day at a time, I can do this. One day of good eating and good exercise, check. Will cross tomorrow's bridge when I get there tomorrow.

Welcome! Yes...you CAN do this...and you WILL!!! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like!
  • That is a very good strategy! Thanks, from now on, its one day at a time. I overwhelm myself with the big picture, get frustrated and then give up. I found out yesterday that, at 30 years old, i have high cholesterol. This really scares me cause i have never had to worry about such things before. But i am committed to getting the 25 pounds off that have been hanging around these last few years and i am going to take it one day at a time. thanks!!
