Do you think the hate comes from the snow shovelers who don't get to see their practicality?

Northerners are usually pretty loud... talking about PAHKIN THEIR CAH... I will assume their silence is tacit approval.

I can only speak for myself, but this northerner is always surprised that there are people who think the Mason-Dixon line has anything other than historic significance.

Okay, then. What does it have to do with the "south" and "snow shovels"?

I'm just telling you. I'm not understanding your thought process.

wait... Americans have a north-south divide too?

I'm from London. that means anything that's north of the Watford Gap is "up norf"

    there's a north-south divide within London too.

Call me stupid, after all I live in Alabama, but I don't understand this. What about crocs? Snow shovels? Are you asking about fundamental differences in culture? Please excuse my college educated question.

Here is a crocodile in northern Australia.
Fortunately we don't have them down south where I live.

I wear my crocs year-round, including the mammoth style without socks in the winter. Mostly I stick to outdoor activities like walking the dogs. When I do serious walking for my fitness wearable, it's either the crocs or sneakers.

There are a lot of crocs in New Jersey, and it's not only kids - I've seen men wearing them too.

Yes, I do. (I'm not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing that I understand exactly what you mean.)

In northern Illinois, they sell crocs that have a sheepswool lining, making them suitable to wear for snow removal. Of course, up here, we have the common sense not to buy them. Ever.

They're just as impractical in the south. Hot weather + foam-material footwear = slip and slide.

actually you do. there is an american crocodile that exists in southern florida. the pic you posted is a saltwater croc. but the american crocodile can be found in the same habitat in florida as the american alligator.
