Greeting

Hi there. Been over weight much of my life and a few years ago when I hit about 140kg. I decided to do something about it. I started a diet shake plan and dropped to 90kg. As soon as I started eating again I went stupid and went up to about 108kg. For a while I went up and down using shakes and started to think it was going to be like this forever.

I came to the conclusion that what I really need is a change of lifestyle. I put myself on a calorie restricted diet (1500ish cals per day)and started back at the gym about 8 weeks ago and have been using MFP to track my intake. I have just started to track my excersise also. I have dropped down to 95kg and have started a 30 day TRX challange in conjunction with the gym. I have just finished a 4 week excersise program at the gym and am about to begin a 7 week advanced program.

Well that's about it. I'm really enjoying my workouts and my eating plan and MFP. I'm a newb and always willing to take advise.

If anyone has a good eating plan or advise to help lose weight I would appreciate it.

cheers!

    Salutations.
  • Thanks guys. Don't know that I have it together but I do feel I jumped in at the deep end. But I'm an all or nothing type of person in some ways. Just hope I can stay the distance.

Hope to loose 20 lbs but I find cheating sooo
    Easy!!!
Gym 5 times a week and going low carb
  • Been there done it.

What helps me is not looking at food in terms of good and bad but rather where certain food fits in my daily allowance. I have a daily calorie goal so if I want to eat something particular then I need to fit that into my allowance. I think this helps to keep me focused on eating a balanced diet and worry less about what I don't eat anymore.

Also, I eat about six times a day. This keep my sugars balanced and I generally never feel over hungry.

Having said that your doing low carb so your probably not counting calories just carbs. I tried low carb but found it very restrictive and gave up after a few months. Counting calories, as strange as it sounds, gives me much more freedom in food choice.

    Best of luck!
