What is your craving demise?

Mine is chocolate. Good chocolate. Not the stuff you buy in the grocery store.

Pretty much anything that combines salty and sweet. Dark chocolate with sea salt. Salted caramel. Chocolate covered pretzels.

And I have 117% no control with any conceivable combination of peanut butter and chocolate.

Sour candy but mainly sour skittles. If I buy the large pack I will totally eat it all in a day.

    Apple Crisp. Hands down,.

Anytime we make it I try to eat just one piece or avoid it all together, but anytime I walk into the kitchen I shovel it into my mouth until I'm full. ugh.

Haven't made any since last fall thank god... But my sister keeps saying we should make it. And I'm just like "NOOOO! D:< "

I just started my weight loss journey and I can't have any detrimental food distractions right now.
If she makes it she has to keep it in her room away from me!

    Fruit Loops.

A can of frosting and a bag of Teddy Graham cookies.

Pecans, especially salted (I know nuts are good for you, but I always end up eating the whole bag. The. whole.1. lb. bag.)

Cinnamon doughnuts. I hadn't had one in ages so I decided to treat myself today. The lady at the counter thought she would be nice and give me a second one for free...nice of her but not so great when I'm trying to limit my calories and a second one in the same bag is just asking for me to stuff up haha, Luckily I was good for the rest of today so I managed to have the two and fit them in ;)

At the moment: white chocolate and raspberry cookies.

Previous craves: Bread & butter, crisps, nachos, cheese (with bread, butter and crisps), sausages, mac cheese (with sausages and butter bread of course) .

Looking at that list, I seem to be addicted to fat... Not so helpful :ohwell:

I avoid cravings. The only time i've had them on this diet since the beginning of the year was when i was stressing over something and then i only craved more food. I did not crave anything in particular.

I avoid craving danger foods by eliminating them from my diet. I don't think them . Fantasising and imaging them and the taste of them can trigger cravings.

Eat well and delicious healthy nutritious foods. this will reduce instances of cravings too.

Focusing on foods you miss will not help you achieve your goals. Let them go. You don't need them.

That said, i have created a rule for myself that enables me to eat sweet foods sometimes. But because it is not mainly within my control as to when that happens, i don't spend any time dreaming about it before hand.

NATURAL YOGHURT. I swear I could quite happily devour a 500g pot in one shot if I let myself...and I've come close. I seriously need to get dairy out of my life.

For me....it is Krispy Kreme donuts, Double Stuf Oreo Cookies, and this time of year - soft ice cream. It is extremely difficult to drive past the ice cream stand every day. I do NOT want to eat ice cream every day. It's very difficult to measure how much ice cream you are getting, unless I bring my kitchen scale with me every time, lol....

I allow myself to have soft ice cream once a week or so...sometimes the week goes by and I just don't want it. That's a win. LOL

    Carbs and liquor.

French fries. Bread & butter. Bread & cheese. Chocolate. The list goes on...

And I can't stop at a glass of wine. No willpower in that department. Sigh.

Sweets. So much so that I will eat whatever is around that's sweet just to get the fix. Yogurt, cookies I bought for the kids and don't really like, make a new pot of coffee so I can put sweet creamer in it. I can't even keep things like ice cream and cake in the house or I'll destroy it. I eat when I'm bored, stressed, sad, lonely, happy, you name it... and it's always sweet things I crave when I eat emotionally. I wish I craved water instead. I'd be SO hydrated.
