FT4 vs. myfitnesspal app and elliptical trainer

Hope anyone can help me. I was training today and i was wearing my FT4 heart rate monitor. I was on the elliptical machine and put in my weight, and after 45 minutes it says that I've burned over 600 calories(can't remember the exact number). But on my FT4 it was just 400. And then when i wanted to put in to myfitnesspal app and they calculated it to be 634. Which one of them are correct? i just guessed that the FT4 was right since that was the lowest. But when the app calculated it so close to the machine i didn't know anymore.

I would say trust the heart rate monitor, it sucks sometimes as it does give lower burns.. but it's better to be underestimating, rather than accidentally over eating and ruining your deficit0

For a while I took the average of all three but decided to just use the HRM.
MFP seems to be too high but the app seems to 'learn' or adapt so the numbers seem right after a while if that makes sense.0
