Calories in Nature's Earthly Choice Easy Quinoa?

I bought Nature's Earthly Choice Easy Quinoa- Garden Vegetable. It says on the back that 1/4 cup dry is 150 calories. Is it the same amount of calories cooked? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Dry quinoa will turn into more, but if you weight out a 1/4 cup dried and cook only that amount, you would use that number. You will end up with 1/2 up of cooked quinoa or more though.

You can't measure out a 1/4 cup of cooked vs a 1/4 cup of dry and expect them to be the same nutritionally. Because the dry are smaller so you can fit more into a measuring cup.

    Hope that helps!

I didn't measure it while dry, so you're saying 1/2 of cooked would be the 150 cal serving?

    Thanks!

Actually, quinoa tends to get much bigger than just double in size. Typically 1/4 cup dry equals somewhere between 3/4 and 1 cup cooked. Next time, measure before you cook. And in the meantime, guesstimate...
