Well, today is the big day for me. I promised myself I would lose weight after the first of the year. I kept putting it off another day until I ran out of excuses. So... today it is!

I feel your pain. I started on Jan 3rd and haven't lost a pound yet. Today is my weigh-in day...keeping fingers crossed.

    Good Luck!

Welcome to the beginning of a new, much healthier "you". You've made the decision to take that first step and there are plenty of us on here to offer our support. You may add me to your list if you wish. Suggest that you check my short blogs on here as well as my profile. :)

Today is an excellent day to begin! The date on the calednar need not apply. :)
  • As soon as you exercise and start dropping the lbs, you will wish you started sooner. Its hard but its well worth it!!!

This is an awesome site... you will love it here. As far as procrastination goes, I struggle with it in other areas of my life. Just today I played the game of "just 10 things" in 3 different rooms. Once I start, I tend to do more. If I get nothing else done during the day, I always try to put exercise at the top of my list.

I just started last Tuesday...there is still too much "holiday" going on, on January 1st! Best of luck as you work towards a healthier you!

    good luck!
  • Welcome!

One of my favorite quotations is:

No on can go back and make a brand new start
But we can all start now, and make a brand new end

(sorry, I don't know who should get credit for this)

Good for you for showing up and taking it on!

    Today is better than tomorrow!

    Good luck reaching your goals!
  • I started yesterday! Took a leap of faith and joined our local Y, and I'm planning on going 3-4 times per week. My husband and 16 year old daughter are also on board.

Good luck to all of us!
