portion control

I thought I would share something that has been working for me. Maybe it will work for others as well.
When I eat dinner, I use a dessert plate. I eat only what will fit onto a dessert plate. This way I dont overeat which is what I used to do when it came to dinner. I now eat a bigger breakfast & a smaller dinner because I find it sits better in my stomach when its time for bed. Not only is it better on my tummy when its bed time but its also keeping portion control.
It has helped me loose 22lbs so far. Maybe it will help others

I've been doing the same thing. I have even started serving my husbands dinner on a dessert plate and he doesn't really seem to notice what I'm doing. he probably just thinks all of the dinner plates are dirty! hahaha! But anyway, congrats on the 22 pounds!!! Keep at it and I'm sure there'll be more pounds shed!0

There was a research study some years ago where they had focus groups come in to try a soup that was being tested. What they didn't tell people is that half the bowls of soup had tubes running into the bottom of the bowls that refilled the bowls as you ate the soup.
The results, as you would expect were that the people with the refilling bowls ate more. The astounding thing was how much more. It was something like 3x more. So, even though intellectually we think we eat what we want, etc. Portions served definitely impact the percentage that we think we "should" eat. Serving smaller portions leads to eating smaller portions.
