Working out with lower carbs?

I’m insulin resistant and trying (not always successful!) to keep my carbs low and my protein / fats higher to help with weight loss.
I’ve joined a gym and have a personal trainer who works me much harder than I did on my own. I love this, we’ve incorporated lifting in to my routine and are going to start adding some HIIT.
I’m just a little bit worried on how to fuel these workouts. I get plenty of calories, but I am worried that if I keep carbs too low, I might not be able to complete the workouts.
I am generally ok with some oats. I would normally have these for breakfast. But should I change my breakfast to a lower carb option and have the oats an hour or so before my workout (currently working out at around 6.30pm). Would one portion of oats be enough carbs for a workout?
I’m thinking the other option is to go very low carb and then once in ketosis I should be able to work out ok but personally, I don’t think that option is very sustainable for me.
How many carbs do you need to workout? Anyone have any good hints or tips to working out while trying to keep carbs on the low side? (around 110-130 a day)
