Knee issue

I injured my knee about 4 months ago. Went to the doctor, was told to do physical therapy. At PT was told it is an IT band issue, doing stretches and such. It gets better but then with the wrong movements it goes back to fluid on the knee and pressure/pain. Anybody experienced this? Recommendations advice???

    I'm assuming that if you've been to PT, you have a foam roller. If not, get one -- they are awesome for IT bands.
