Why I Have Decided to Lift

I kind of liked the fact my significant other told me I don't need to go to the gym.
Until I realized what I was doing to my health.
Little spurts of cardio here and there, that should be okay, right? Maybe if I didn't get bored so easily. I'm the kind of person who needs a challenge on a regular basis, and who gets tired of the same old stuff day in/day out. To me, a leisurely pedal on a bike in the gym while I watch tv is just as effective (and exciting) as dusting my house. That's why I've been avoiding the gym. Why go when it's a chore?
While I love the fact I am loved for who I am and how I look now, I can't keep this up. I used to love the thrill of lifting, I loved the energy it gave me. I felt so much better, and I feel as though I was a better person all-around when I used to lift. This was because I just felt good, and had more to give to my family, friends and job. I could go on and on about the differences I felt then and now, but I'm sure everyone who has done this knows.
I have to do this for me, because I want to be healthy. I want to be happy. I am literally tired of being tired from being inactive.

For what? I'm confused.
^^THIS. My question exactly. What's to be reported on? The OP stated why the continuation of lifiting is the choice they made. No advertisement, no spam, no specially developed drink this and weigh next to nothing stuff.
Just reasoning out why lifting works for the OP.0 -
Not a clue why youw ere reported??
I am a female but have started including some lifting and resistance training. It feels really good to just feel stronger.0 -
reported.
You like reporting things, don't you?0 -
no not really- I've only done it 2 times in my history here? well 3 technically I reported the same person 2 in the same thread since she was way out of line. but two separate instances.
this is the third time I've seen this EXACT post by this exact person.0 -
Resistance training ALWAYS made me feel good. The first time I tried it out, I worked with a girl who was pretty well versed in weightlifting. I was sore for days, but I still revert back to a lot of the exercises she taught me.0

And furthermore, what is it to you? The fact you know how many times somebody posts on the same topic might suggest you need to find another hobby.0 -

Multiple posts on the same topic in the forums are frowned upon in MFP0 -

no worries. If I was out of line- then I would apolgoize as well to the OP.... but cross posting is against forum rules and it seemed awfully sketchy to start different threads with the exaxt same content.
If the OP is just clumsy on forums- then my bad- but I seriously believed it's been a troll. My apologies if not.0 -

just following forum rules... perhaps you should try it.
Secondly. I work 3 jobs- I'm a professional dancer and I spend upwards of 10 hours a week weight lifting add on a few hours of a cardio and I do sewing projects as a side job.
I do not think I need more hobbies- but thanks!
now- where's my prize?0 -
Lifting rocks! Shame for posting multiple times though, I guess.0
