ibs bad at the moment :'(

Hello

I have irritable bowel syndrome and it is pretty bad at the moment

Think it could be to do with increased exercise and eating more salad and fibre, it is mainly going more often and urgently think you get the picture

Does anyone have any advice regarding this

    I have IBS and I know exactly how you feel. Here' s a list of a couple of things that work for me:

    1. Eat a moderate amount of fiber. (less than 20 a day)
    Eating too much fiber can actually negatively impact (my) IBS. You could test it to see if it works for you.

    2. Use a pro/prebiotic
    This has helped my IBS become much more managable. The one I take says: for immediate symptoms or kick start, take twice a day for a week, after that one a day. Probiotics have been my lifesaver! I seriously suggest you try this. Since taking these sometimes I even forget I have IBS.

    3. Peppermint oil (capsules)
    These helps ease the pain once the symptoms have already kicked in.

    Added fibre is going to make you go more regardless of whether you have IBS or not. I have IBS. The best thin you can do is do the elimination of certain foods for a week and then read them and see what differences it makes
