Antidepressants & Weight Loss

Hello Everyone,

I take Effexor and Abilify and the weight loss is sloooooow. Has anyone been through this? Any tips?

    I took the same combination a few years ago. I can honestly say that, for me, it increased my appetitie, which was the only reason I wasn't losing weight. Its tough to cut back calories while on those medications. Stick to your plan, log everything, and keep working out!

    I'm on a high dose of effexor and it hasn't stopped or slowed my weight loss at all.

    I've been on anti-depressants before and it didn't affect my weight. If you eat a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. Good luck!
