All-Inclusive Resort Suggestions
My husband and I are looking to get away in January (Canadian winters are disgusting) and we wanted to go somewhere NEW!
We've already done the cruise and theme-park thing, and we've done all-inclusive's in Mexico and the Dominican, so we'd like to check out some new places (still all-inclusive) that are 4+ star hotels with lots of amenities!
Location ideas:
- Jamaica
- Bahamas
- Turks and Caicos
- St Lucia
- Antigua
- Aruba
- Barbados
(And open to any more good ideas!)
Anyone have any good hotel recommendations for these locations?
I have been on Trip Advisor for 4 hours and my eyes are starting to bleed from all the tabs I have open! :grumble:

Have you checked out cheapcaribbean.com? My daughter and I went to an all inclusive in Cancun and I booked it off that site (great deals!!). I compared their ratings and reviews to those on TripAdvisor.0

We've done Sandals(3-4 Stars) all-inclusive in St. Lucia and had a good time, and Excellence all-inclusive in Playa De Mujeres (5 star) north of Cancun. The Excellence resort is absolutely beautiful and remote away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun. They have 3-4 restaurants all on the resort too.
For a non-inclusive trip: My husband and I went to Costa Rica in January this past year. We did an adventure tour which included 3 different hotels, transportation between hotels plus any excursions (i.e. ziplining, canoeing, hiking). Food was extra although most hotels serve a hot breakfast buffet for free. Had a fabulous time and it was very hot but in January that is what you want.0 -
Well if you're willing to go back to Cancun, I highly suggest the Sun Palace. It's a Couples/Adults only resort that puts a high focus on pampered relaxation. It's smaller, so you get more personalized attention. It's also on the bottom of the "hotel zone" so out of the hustle of down town, but also a short 5 minute bus ride away. Gorgeous beach, swim up bar, etc. There are also other Palace resorts in the area (Beach Palace, Cozumel Palace, Isla Mujeres Palace, Moon Palace) that you have access to for eating/playing at.
My husband and I have been there 3 times and are looking to go back SOON!!0 -
Check out the Dreams Resort chain. They have them in several different places. We stay at the one in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Awesome!0
