What do you do for cheat days?

I'm thinking of making Sunday my cheat day, just so I don't binge on my craving foods, this way I can look forward to it. But I was wondering what others do? Or how you feel about "cheat days"

I don't do cheat days. I try to eat moderately and manage to work either chocolate or frozen yogurt into my daily life. Today I had a big cookie, so will skip that. I also work beer, burgers... you get the idea... in if I want them. I have been at this since mid-April with no bingeing issues and have lost nearly 55lbs.0

A day of any food I want in any quantity that I want absolutely does not work for me. I have a huge capacity for some foods. Like in the seven thousand calories and up range.
My advice if you're going to do it is count every calorie on your cheat day. Because it isn't that hard to wipe out your deficit for the week.0 -
Same here.
I don't have cheat days/meals. I eat a 'treat' every day. Sometimes more than once a day. I eat out - since beginning of July and up to the end of August I'll have eaten out 12 times. I've lost 23.5lbs so far, and am confident I'll carry on losing.0 -

Same here. It usually ends up though that I have one day a week or once every 2 weeks where is go over by 100-200 calories through . If I'm feel like eatnng something, I'll eat it and work around it0 -
Oh I'm definitely going to track the calories, I'm just allowing myself some foods that I know I have a hard time with. I have binge eating disorder, so it can be really hard to let myself eat things that I know I shouldn't. Which is why I'm trying to save it for one day.
I did try the whole, eat anything you want, but keep track of it, and well, that's how I fell off the wagon.0 -
I don't do cheat days, I do IIFYM. So I hit my fat and protein goals, try to get some veggies, and use the rest of my calories for whatever I like (generally ice cream or baked goods).0

Have you sought professional help for this?0 -
Don't deprive myself of stuff I like, I just eat a lot less of it. That way I don't need cheat days
Sooner or later I had to face the fact that a healthier relationship with food is what I needed rather than a restrictive diet that could'nt last0 -
A big sit down Italian meal featuring lasagna, sausage and meatballs, and a big slice of blueberry, cherry, and pineapple cheescake. I wake up, have a healthy breakfast and do my workout, burn a lot of calories, then log it as a calorific dinner. I budget for it with the exercise so I don't consider it cheating, but it is an indulgent day.0

Handcuffs.... Wait, does it count as a cheat day if my SO knows?0

I try not to do cheat days if I can help it. I always wish I hadn't done it after I do it. Then I feel bad until I fix what I screwed up.0

Yes, but my doctors aren't very helpful where I live, but that's an entirely new subject I don't really want to go into lol0 -
I dont do a cheat day but a cheat dinner with dessert . Normally i will break about 600-700 calories higher that day. It gives me a chance to enjoy a food i may of been craving or just wanting to try but i usually cant because it just doesnt fit into my daily menu. It kept me on track long enough to lose most of my weight i was aiming for over the last year because i wont just go amok eating or get upset over missing certain foods0

My cheat days are either thursday, friday, saturday or sunday (but NOT all four). I leave it open like that because who knows when a craving is going to strike or someone's going to invite me out for dinner.
I don't count calories, but I do eat less in preparation. Basically just enough to get me by until cheat time. I usually run afterwards, as well. Anything to make myself feel better lol!
I tend to drop weight after my cheat days too. I don't know why it works, but it does!0 -
I don't do cheat days. I just eat anything I want in moderation and log everything.0

If you have BED, I would recommend designating a cheat day with a higher calorie limit, to keep yourself from eating 7,000 calories that "don't count." What's your calorie goal? Add 1,000 calories to it for your cheat day. If your goal is 2000, eat 3000 on your cheat day, and make sure you log it all. Or, better yet, exercise and eat back your exercise calories.0

As it stands, I eat clean 95% of the time, log the bad along with the good, and just roll on.
I did low carb for a while a year and a half a go, the things I would eat on my cheat days would make a competitive eater sick. I guarantee I could eat 4000 calories worth of milkshakes in a single sitting or the same in milk and homemade chocolate chip cookies.0
