Gym workouts!

Hey all,

So I have a gym at my work which has treadmills, ellipticals, and machines. Not too many of them.

I want to start actually working out in the gym by using machines and the elliptical but I don't know exactly what to do. I want to lose about 10-15 pounds and tone my body. I have thick thighs and a chubby midsection. Can anyone help with a schedule that they use in the gym?

    what type of machines in the gym? cable machines are good because you can do a variety of stuff on them

    do you have dumbbells? kettlebells?

    Honestly I have only been on the elliptical twice I am not sure what kind. And my boyfriend has his own set of dumbells at home that he doesn't use. but as far as the gym I am not sure

    Bodybuilding.com has some great sets to do! This one is simple and pretty complete until you get into it enough that you know what you are doing.

    Is there a Gym in your area with a first day trial class you could go to on your day off?
    You could get some hints from the person running that gym, then when you go back to work, you'll know what to do>>
