Fat Man Getting Started

Hello,

I'm fat and I'm going to lose weight. I've dieted in past with moderate success but wouldn't say I ever reached a non-fat stage.

This will be my first time on MFP, so I'm hoping the database and tracking tools will help me. Downward trending graphs incoming!

    welcome to MFP :)

    i've had success from logging my food. you never really know exactly how many calories you're eating till you measure everything and write it down. once you know it's easy to make changes - cut a few calories, add more protein, whatever you need. especially if you add some walking or other exercise.

    i would read a piece of it every time i got the urge to snack, just to break up the habit.
