Fitbit Calorie Adjustment

Options
So yesterday I walked over 10000 steps and today I did less than 7000....but when it synced with fitnesspal today its saying I burned more calories today than yesterday. Anyone know why that would be? Something wrong with the fitbit or does it measure calorie adjustment with other factors? Thank you :)

Does it measure the time between your steps? Can it tell if you take bigger steps? Maybe that's it.

I think it depends on how much of that was very active, imho. Looking back over my logs on days I ran vs walked those steps, the running yielded a larger burn although steps were less.

Hmm I don't know. Its kind of a bummer if something is wrong with my fitbit. I took a long but leisurely walk yesterday. Today I was at work, a desk job, but I was up and walking somewhat quickly around for a good chunk of the day.
