Tattoos and weight loss

I've been really wanting this rib tattoo for a long time and am tired of waiting for my body to be perfect for it. Will it be ok to get it now and still lose weight or should I just suck it up and wait. I have 20-30 pounds to reach my ultimate goal weight

I've lost about 10lbs and have about 10 more to go and I don't see it affecting the tattoo on my ribs. Though I carry most of my weight on my lower body.

I'm using the next tattoo I want as motivation to get to my goal weight.

I think it really depends on a lot. Like skin elasticity, how you carry your weight, etc. If you have an artist in mind, I'd talk to them about it because they are more familiar with how ink takes to skin and can probably give you a better idea. I have a rib cage tattoo in mind, but with 100lbs to lose I'm more than a year away from it. Howeve,r I'm working on a full sleeve in a couple of weeks and even though I carry extra weight in my upper arm, I spoke to my artist about it and she thought that due to the way my skin is and some other stuff, we can work with it and it'll be fine.

So for you, saying you have 20-30 more pounds....you *should* be ok but it's all relative.
