Goals For August

July came and went and the results were horrific. Gained 6.6 pounds in July and am up .6 pounds from my start date. Am 50 days in, and needless to say, was hoping to be in a better spot. Today being my weigh day AND the first of the month, it is time for no excuses. Time to get my mind, heart, and stomach all on the same page. I have lost weight in the past with determination, and now is :desperation mode" if you will. My first goal was to be down to 355 by August 27th, and I will be missing that goal for sure. Doesn't mean I am going to just lay down and not fight, though. My goals for August are as follows:

Hit 12 cups of water everyday
Lose 10-15 pounds
Seriously reduce my homemade ranch dressing intake
Control myself on certain meals (Fresh Take Chicken and Homemade Pizza)
Exercise a minimum of three times a week
Quit with the excuses

    My July was also a disappointment. Over the last 6 mod I have gained back 12 lbs. I have been taking care of my granddaughter full time. She will be 7mos old in 9 days. Having her has been a joy but thru me off my routine. My exercise has been non existent and my eating has not been clean. I started to get back into exercise about 3 days ago and am committed to doing it 5 days a week. Most of my exercise is walking and sometimes dvd workouts. It has worked for me before combined with clean eating. Clean eating to me is lean protein, veggies and fruits. I felt amazing and looked great for 52 yrs old when I followed this plan.

    My July started off well but slowed down at the end. I'm working on getting down to 250 pounds and I'd like to do that by the end of August ( currently 268). My goals for the month are going to be (other than losing 18 pounds):
    keeping my nutrition in check while trying to hit my macros properly
    having no more than 1 cheat MEAL a week ( no more of the cheat days for me)
    To find out what my actual body fat % is and to get that down (whatever it may be)
    To be able to run a mile non stop.

    I have plenty of long term goals but I think those should suffice for the month of August. Good luck to you on demolishing your goals.
