    Bluuuuuush!! LOL! - they took me a wee bit of experimenting to get 100% right consistancy (for My taste preferences) - but they do help on a 'rainyday"

    I used to buy it when living abroad. It's not an American thing but you can sometimes find it in higher end/specialty food stores (it's always imported). I would think that plain Greek yogurt would be of a similar consistency, though I am not sure how it would affect flavor. It's not *really* like cottage cheese with curds. I hate cottage cheese and anything with curds, but quark is smoother, like Greek yogurt - no lumps.

    Yeah - apologies - didnt realis it was a "UK Thing"??? Low Fat Low carb high protein dairy/cheese!
