Question for folks who work with weights.... if you were going to increase the weight you're working out with, at what point in your sets would you start using it? Heavier weight for the first set, then the rest with what you were using, or wait till the last set to introduce it?

First set! But if you are unsure, do a couple warm up sets prior that increase in weight each set so you got a feel for your body that day.0

I do heavier first and try to keep the heavier weight in longer. If I have to go to lower I do.0

I do 3-4 warm up sets of 5-2 reps that slowly increase in weight towards my working sets - which will be at the increased weight if I completed the working sets previously at the lower weight.
Example -
If I did hammer curls at 20lbs the week before and I want to up to 25lbs, it'd look like this
2x5 - 10lbs
1x3 - 15lbs
1x2 - 20lbs
Then working sets at 25lbs. Working sets being 3x10 or 5x5 - whatever you've decided them to be.0
