Fish batter?

How many calories are there in batter? I sometimes eat fish and chips but I don't eat all the batter and just wanted to know if there was a way to work it out.
Today I had a fish that was 265g. I took the batter off and the actual fish weighed about 150g.

I have wondered this, too! I can lose the batter and just enjoy the fish inside. I also wonder how the nutrition then compares to baked fish with butter vs. fried in batter (and batter removed).
Any nutrition experts/?0 -
Depends on the batter, depends on the exact cooking method.
A batter that includes beer and butter will have more calories than one that is egg whites, rice flour and seltzer water.0 -

Again, depends. I know personally at least 20 variations on batter, and could probably use those to make another 2x or 3x that quantity.
Ask for an ingredient list if it is that big of a deal.
Also ask them for exact procedure, heat level, and oil age, as that matters as well for oil uptake in the batter.0
